Press Relations & Strategy
The media may seem to be composed of large, impersonal organizations, but newsrooms are staffed by individuals and our contacts within the Connecticut press corps are unmatched. It’s these relationships that give our clients consistent access to the media. There’s much more to strategic communications than sending our press releases and buying advertising, so we help clients create a media strategy that achieves their goals by integrating careful messaging and targeted outreach.

Media Training
Duby McDowell spent 18 years in front of the camera, reporting the news and asking tough questions. She knows what you can expect when it’s your turn to be interviewed. Duby has worked with CEO’s, community leaders and political candidates to maximize their interactions with the press. Our training runs the gamut from how to handle the question you don’t want to answer to what colors you should wear.

Crisis & Reputation Management
The most effective crisis communication is based on a plan that‘s put in place in advance of a crisis. We encourage our clients to prepare for the worst, but we are frequently called upon to minimize the damage from a sudden challenge to the reputation of a business, organization or individual. When legal action thrusts a business, law firm, organization or individual into the public eye, a unique set of public relations skills is required. We can help. We understand not only the Connecticut media but the Connecticut judiciary as well, enabling us to create a strategy that maintains our clients’ good standing with the public and, in some cases, their own clients.

Speaker Training
Speaking to a room full of people can be frightening - or exhilarating. Our training makes all the difference for clients who speak publicly because we give them strategies that they can employ in numerous situations.

Speechwriting
We love writing speeches for clients. A good speech communicates key points, makes an audience think, and hopefully generates a good laugh or two.
