DMC Assists Red Sox Invasion of Waterbury

Waterbury, CT (August 22, 2007) – Duby McDowell Communications, LLC (DMC) assisted “Red Sox Nation” in its successful invasion of the city of Waterbury, rescuing thousands of area Red Sox fans who for years have been deprived of watching their beloved baseball team on television.

Boston Red Sox President & CEO Larry Lucchino, along with Red Sox legend Jim Rice, were in town to announce that the New England Sports Network (NESN) has been added to Comcast Standard Cable in Waterbury, allowing subscribers throughout the Naugatuck Valley to tune in to Red Sox games..

DMC organized the event in concert with the Waterbury Police Activity League and the Red Sox. Fans throughout the area were treated to appearances by legend Jim Rice and NESN personality Tom Caron, and witnessed Larry Lucchino's planting of the Red Sox flag in Waterbury. Children were greeted by Red Sox mascots "Wally the Green Monster" as well as "Lefty" and "Righty". Waterbury Mayor Michael Jarjura pronounced the visit "important to the city and a great event."
