RED
SOX BRING WORLD SERIES TROPHY TO CONNECTICUT WITH HELP FROM
DMC
January 11, 2008 (Hartford) - The World
Championship Boston Red Sox brought the 2007 World Series
trophy to Connecticut on Friday, January 11, 2008, stopping
in three cities: New Haven, Waterbury and Hartford.
Red Sox President/CEO Larry Lucchino led the group that traveled
from Fenway Park to thank Connecticut fans for their loyalty
during the 2007 season. “We couldn’t be happier
about bringing the trophy to the ever-increasing number of
Connecticut fans who have supported us over the years,”
said Lucchino.
“Connecticut is a cornerstone of Red Sox Nation, and
our supporters in Connecticut deserve to see this trophy that
they helped bring back to Fenway.”
Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell, who invited the team to
Connecticut, was on hand to greet representatives from the
team and the trophy when they arrived in Hartford.
Duby McDowell Communications, LLC helped organize the day’s
events in its capacity as the team’s representative
in the state.
"DMC was instrumental
to this project," says Chuck Steedman, Vice President/Fenway
Enterprises and Broadcast Services for the Red Sox. "The
firm is one of the key assets we employ in Connecticut as
we engage in statewide marketing."
